Fagor Automation estimates that sales in the Chinese market will be up to 150% after the CIMT show
The China International Machine Tool Show CIMT 2021 has taken us back to times we thought we would not return to for quite some time. CIMT is one of the most popular international exhibitions for the machine tool suppliers from all over the world, and it has given us the opportunity to meet our customers face to face again.
CIMT 2021 has been a successful show for Fagor Automation, where customers have shown great interest in continuing to work with us. According to Iñigo Legarda, “is estimated that after the CIMT fair, sales in the Chinese market may increase up to 150% of our 2021 forecast”. According to the report prepared by the Chinese Manufacturers Association, an upturn and an optimistic scenario is expected as far as the order book is concerned, and this has been remarked in all the meetings we were able to have with both current customers and future new customers. From the total visits we had, 20% to 24% of them are new potential customers.
SERIES3, 3statech and Quercus
The Chinese market shows special interest in technologies such as SERIES3 and 3Statech, as well as CNC products. With the SERIES 3 technology, we have taken a step forward in terms of high-end absolute encoders, which have been very well received by Chinese companies.
Several Chinese companies have also shown their interest in cooperating with Fagor Automation, to cover the needs of CNC systems, drives and high resolution feedback for laser machinery, machining centers with high speed solutions (20,000-40,000rpm) and linear motors, 5-axis machining, lathes and high-performance turning centers.
Fagor Automation’s offer with Quercus has been another milestone at CIMT 2021. The interest shown by the Chinese market for the 8058, 8060 and 8070 platforms of the Quercus system positions us at the forefront also in the Chinese market.
More than 1,500 manufacturers
A total of 1,503 machine tool manufacturers from 27 countries and regions participated in the exhibition, including 870 domestic and 633 foreign exhibitors. CIMT 2021 has also brought together machine tool associations and trade promotion organizations from 13 countries and regions, including the United States, Germany, Japan, Switzerland, Italy, Korea, Spain, United Kingdom, France, Czech Republic, India, Taiwan, China and Hong Kong, China. The fair was held in accordance with strict safety measures and high epidemic prevention requirements.
In view of what we have seen at the International Machine Tool Show in China, 2021 promises to be a year full of consolidated projects thanks to the confidence that the Chinese market has in Fagor Automation, where it has more than a quarter of a century of experience since its establishment.
